We are excited to announce that Abby Marie Photography will be available at Cosmo Park during games on Sunday, October 12th for anyone that would like to have pictures of their players. She can do individual and team pictures, if preferred.
Attached is her information along with pricing for those that would like to purchase picture packages. Pictures ARE optional so you do not have to participate if you are not interested in purchasing pictures. Good afternoon parents!
We were just given all of the information for the 2025 MU Homecoming Parade, and wanted to pass along everything.
First off, all participants will need to be lined up by 8:15AM. The parade starts at 9:00, and we are towards the end, so it will be quite a bit of sitting and waiting.
The drop off location is at the roundabout on Tiger Ave and Hospital Dr. Each participant will need to have the attached form filled out completely, and handed to the CYFL rep at the roundabout. The rep will then walk the kids down to our parade entry. If you are walking with your child in the parade, you will still need to fill out a form! Our parade entry number is 125, and our lineup location is on Tiger Ave, just to the south of Stankowski Field.
At the end of the parade, we will meet at Flat Branch park/playground, behind the old Hardees. PLEASE DO NOT JUST FIND YOUR KIDDO AND LEAVE. You MUST check out with the CYFL rep at the end of the parade before leaving. The end of the parade is VERY chaotic, so please be patient.
We cannot THROW candy, but we CAN hand it out to parade watchers! So feel free to bring a bag or two of candy! There are A LOT of people along the route, so try to remember that at the beginning of the parade! We also encourage posters and signs for CYFL, and that cheer on our MU Tigers! Please have the kids wear their CYFL gear, or MU gear. Either is great!

First, a big THANK YOU to all the parents and coaches who brought extra water, cooling towels, and pop-up shelters to today’s games. Your preparation and care helped keep our players safe and comfortable in the heat, and we are truly grateful for the way our CYFL community comes together when it matters most.
We also want to acknowledge a detail with this season’s uniforms. Some jersey colors came out differently than intended due to a manufacturing error. We understand the feedback that’s come in from families across multiple teams and want you to know we are committed to ensuring consistent, accurate, and on-time uniforms moving forward.
Thank you for your continued support, your flexibility, and most importantly, for the energy and care you pour into this league. Together, we’re building something special for our kids.

CYFL Families – Heat Reminder for Sunday’s Games
We’re looking forward to another great day of football this Sunday! The forecast calls for hot temperatures, so we want everyone—players, coaches, and families—to be prepared and safe.
For Players:
* Make sure your athlete is well-hydrated starting the day before the game. Encourage them to drink water throughout the day, not just at game time.
* Bring a full water bottle labeled with their name. We’ll have breaks, but having their own water is essential.
* Light snacks (fruit, granola, etc.) are encouraged to keep energy up.
* Any families willing to allow players to utilize the pop-up tent at the benches are highly appreciated
For Families & Spectators:
* Please consider bringing a pop-up tent or umbrella to create shade for your family.
* Wear light, breathable clothing, and don’t forget sunscreen and hats.
* Bring plenty of water for yourself and younger siblings—hydration is essential for everyone, not just the athletes.
On the Sidelines:
* Coaches will build in extra water breaks.
* We’ll be monitoring heat conditions closely to ensure player safety.
Thank you for helping us keep the kids safe while enjoying a great football day together! Let’s cheer them on, stay cool, and make it a fun Sunday.

Hello everyone!
Julie and Amanda spent several hours this morning and afternoon finalizing the fall rosters. As always, there are coaches and players that did not return from previous seasons so we tried to accommodate as many coach/player requests while still giving all players equal consideration and keeping teams even. Please do not ask to be moved unless it is an emergency need.
We are still in need of head coaches for our kindergarten teams so if anyone is interested, please reach out to Amanda at cyfl.footballsecretary@gmail.com.
Coaches - if you have not already, please send Amanda your practice days/times so she can assign you a field. We cannot use Field 4 until next spring and Field 5 and 6 are off limits until later in the season so most teams will have to share field space. Right now, I have a lot of Tuesday/Thursday practices so if you are on the fence about what days you want to practice, I encourage a Monday/Wednesday combo! :) We can start practicing at Cosmo the week of July 28th. We will be sending a Sign Up Genius to tackle teams to register your team for equipment handout. Coaches MUST be present at equipment handout as Julie and Amanda are not trained in how to fit equipment. Flag coaches can stop by during those times to grab their coaching bags. We implemented game specific flags at the end of last season and that went really well so the flags you are given will be for practices only. We will use the game specific flags for games this fall.
