Deleted Registrations

I have received several emails from families about their registration being deleted somehow and that they are no longer on a team roster. I have sent several emails to our website company about this, but do not have a cause or resolution for this issue yet. I know this is affecting player/parent/team communications so if this has happened to you, please go back on the website and register in one of the DayDreams applicant registrations so that you are not charged another registration fee. Once you have done that, please email Amanda at cyfl.footballsecretary@gmail.com with which DayDreams applicant registration you completed (because there are 3 different ones) and which team you are supposed to be on and we can get you re-added to a roster.

Happy Wednesday, CYFL!
Just a couple of updates...
1) The spring game schedule was reviewed by the CYFL Board and is now being reviewed by coaches. It should be released sometime today or tomorrow. Amanda will work on getting them uploaded to the website this week so teams can see the schedule online or on the Playbook Connect app.
2) Fall registration for flag, tackle, and Warhawks is open now until July 15th. Make sure and get signed up today!
3) Day Dreams applications - if you are applying for a Day Dreams scholarship for the fall season, you can go ahead and register now. Under each program, there is a special registration form called "2025 Day Dreams Applicants" that you can use to complete registration for free. This will fulfill Day Dream's requirements of registration prior to application approval. Once a kiddo is approved by Day Dreams for the scholarship, Julie and Amanda will apply the scholarship payment to the registration and then move the kiddo to the correct program. We hope this process will go a lot smoother for both parents and Day Dreams. As a reminder, Day Dreams will not start reviewing applications for fall until May 15th, but they encourage everyone to get their documents submitted early. Once registration is closed on July 15th, there will be no more scholarship applications accepted or reviewed.
4) We are asking for concession stand volunteers! We use concession stand funds to help supplement referee costs as well as general fundraising for the league so it is an important part of our season. For the past few seasons, we have kept concession stand work restricted to past and current board members only, but it is a lot of work for just a few people to do every week on top of all of the other duties our board members complete during the season. Therefore, starting this fall, we will have one board member assigned to each game day and are asking parents and coaches to volunteer their time to help as well. Spring Fundraiser & Fall Registration Updates

Happy Friday!
As our spring season is starting, I have just a few annoucements to go through.
1) CYFL is having a "Dine and Donate" event at Texas Roadhouse on Tuesday, May 6th. Attached is the flyer so dine in that day and show this flyer between 3pm and 10pm and CYFL will get 10% of your total food order back. We are a non-profit organization so we rely on donations and fundraisers to help keep our league going so please share this with your friends, family, and coworkers!
2) Fall registration is officially open! As a reminder, we offer cheerleading, flag football for K-2nd grade, and tackle football for 3rd-6th grades. Please head over to the website (www.columbiayouthfootball.com) and get registered today. Registration will close on July 15th. If you are planning on applying for a DayDreams scholarship for the fall season, DayDreams will not start reviewing applications until May 15th, but you are welcome to submit your information earlier. Please reach out to Amanda (cyfl.footballsecretary@gmail.com) and Julie (cyfltreasury@gmail.com) if you plan to apply for DayDreams as we will have a different registration process for you to go through.
3) Coaches - coaching is on a "first come, first serve" basis so if you want to guarantee that you have a team to coach in the fall, you need to let me know your intentions ASAP! This will make fall registrations run a lot more smoothly and will also let us know sooner rather than later if we need to find more coaches for certain grades. You can either send me an email, text message, or a private message in GroupMe.
Other important fall season dates to note:
-rosters will be sent to coaches the week of July 21st
-practices will start July 28th
-tackle equipment hand-out will be the week of August 4th - I will create a SignUp Genius and coaches will pick a day/time for their team to come get equipment. Coaches MUST be an attendance and help with equipment hand-out, in order to ensure players get the right sized equipment.
-Jamboree for tackle teams in Jefferson City is August 16-17th
-First game will be August 24th
-Labor Day weekend with be a bye week
-Playoffs will be October 19th (pending weather/make-up games)
-Championships will be October 26th (pending weather/make-up games)

Hello CYFL!
Rosters are set and coaches should be reaching out to you, if you have not already heard from them. We have a completely new website system so please be patient with coaches as they are learning and navigating. With this new website, we also have an app so I encourage everyone to download the Playbook Connect app to use. This appears to be much easier for parents and coaches to communicate and see the schedule once it is finalized.
We have a coaches meeting tonight at the Equipment Sheds at 7:00pm. We will be going over rules, codes of conduct, and handing out equipment so please try and be there! I understand some coaches may have practice, but it is important to try and attend this meeting so please plan accordingly. We plan to keep it under 30 minutes.
Also, our current website has a bug that will not allow me to pull jersey size and number reports from the registration. The website host is working on fixing the issue, but it may not be resolved by this week so I will also need names, jersey size, and jersey numbers submitted to me by Wednesday, April 9th so please get that information to your coaches!
I will have fall flag and tackle registration up by the end of the week so keep an eye out for that. If you are going to be using Day Dreams for a fall scholarship, they will not start reviewing applications until May 15th. You are welcome to turn in your stuff prior to that date, but reviews will not start until then. Coaches - if you plan on coaching a flag or tackle team in the fall, please let me know ASAP! I will not assume you are coaching just because you have coached in the past so please let me know your intentions so we can plan accordingly.
